This is Johnny and I. He is five years old; however, it seems that his growth as been stunted so he looks like he is two. In addition, there is a lack of clothes available. So, everytime we come Johnny is in a dress. Oh goodness! lol We are going to see if we can get him into boy stuff soon! :) I love this picture of Johnny and I, he has the more sincere smile you will ever see! :)
Here is a picture of my little man, titi. He is trying to wink at me! :) How adorable!!!! :)
Hello Greetings everyone! For the past week, I have been volunteering at Kanduyi Children's Orphange in Bungoma, Kenya. The kids are amazing! I wish I could adopt all 34; however, there is one special kid that has grab my heart. He is four years old and his name is Titi, (pronounced Tee-tee). His full name is Collins Wahtiti. He is my little man. Here are some pictures of the kids. Due to vast poverty issues in rural kenya, many children are left in orphanges with very little affection, attention, and support. The sad reality is the resources for these orphanges is staggering. There are no clean clothes, the food is only porridge, kids do not have shoes or flip flops, no toys, no coloring books or crayons, no diapers for the babies, no medicine, etc. On a positive note, Sarah, Lauren, and I decided to bring in our kite (mickey mouse) the kids when wild! We also read children's books to them, and had coloring books available. The kids were so impressed. Lauren even bought a soccer ball! It was great! Overalll, the children are amazing and deserve families. They are true blessings! I pray they will all be given loving-supportive-forever-families!
